If you’re someone who feels that salads are just a great delivery mechanism to get the dressing into your mouth then this is the ultimate recipe for you.  A handful of simple greens (or whatever you happen to have) creates the backdrop for the creamy team of buttery avocado and juicy papaya.  It’s a taste sensation you will crave forever.  Remember the lime, as it’s twang brings the best out of both fruits.

  • 1 ripe avocadoavocadopapayasalad
  • 1 ripe papaya
  • 2 stalks celery, diced
  • 1 fresh lime
  • Manoa lettuce or other delicate lettuce

Wash and chop the salad greens and place in bowl. You will want to use a delicate salad green for this dish so the greens do not overpower the delicate flavors of the papaya and the avocado. Dice the avocado and papaya into chunks and add to the salad greens. Toss with the greens well so that the avocado and the papaya blend together and form a creamy dressing for the greens. Add the diced celery and squeeze the fresh lime juice over the top. Enjoy!
